ABOUT THE AUTHOR

After 16 years on 14 tablets a day, I now live medication free and symptom free. My goal is to inspire, teach and motivate others to join the good side of life by having the same freedom and control.

I'm Manny Tura (@AllMyFriendsAreEggs) and I'm a Health Coach who specialises in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and Gut Ailments. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease at the age of 11, the day before I started High School.

Crohn's Disease left me being unable to absorb the nutrients and minerals from my meals which resulted in me being only 5'3 inches tall and always being afraid to eat too much, as I could not endure the pain that would follow.

Fast forward to Christmas Day 2016, I suffered a significant bowel perforation which resulted in a life or death ultimatum - have emergency surgery to get an Ileostomy bag or die.

I went on a rapid decline by losing 3 stone of weight in 2 months (1/3 of my bodyweight!), after having the surgery. This lead me to being hospitalised again for a month and half while I got fed intravenously.

I never gave up, I never accepted defeat and I went through the battles and won the war. My wishes and dream came true when my Ileostomy bag was reversed but this was only the beginning of the great things to come.

8 months after my second major surgery, I entered my first Powerlifting Competition which is a test of your strength, in which I became the Yorkshire & Northeast Champion (in the UK) and broke the Deadlift Record (59kg class) by lifting 180kg at 53kg bodyweight - 3.5 times my bodyweight!

FAQ

Is this for Vegetarians or Meat Eaters?

If you eat meat, don't worry I'm not going to say you must stop all meat tomorrow. Dietary changes take discipline and time. My diet is vegetarian (as I have honey and the occasional cheese). The good thing is you can still heal with meat in your diet and this is detailed in the What I Eat in a Week blueprint

Where do you get your protein from?

I talk about protein in detail as this is common question I receive. You will find my sources of protein and how you can consume it (page 22)

Does it talk about Probiotics?

Yes, there's a full section about what are probiotics and why you should have them on page 20.

What if I'm on medication?

You should always consult with a doctor or medical professional first as this is for educational and informational purposes only.

Are the meals easy to cook?

All the meals have detailed recipes which are easy to follow. I'm not much of a cook, I like to eat :). But I do enjoy following recipes as it makes life so much easier.

Are there refunds available?
